If it’s The Year Of The Rat, we must be back on the road. We have two sold out shows at The Birchmere tonight (Jan 29th) and tomorrow (Jan 30th) and then we’ll be in NYC as part of the Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series for a sold out show at the Appel Room and then back to Collingswood New Jersey for a show at The Scottish Rite Auditorium (Feb 1st….there are still tickets available for this one!!). We will also be live-streaming the show from NYC on Friday (Jan 31st). It will be on our FB page or you can stream it from livefromlincolncenter.org. We hope to see you out there.
Summer is over and we are back on the road. We are playing a few shows in the Boston area this weekend (Oct 10 – 13), followed by a few scattered shows in October throughout Southern Ontario and then back down to the NY/NJ/CT area in November. We are heading to Europe next week to enjoy the beautiful Summer weather (eek!!) and while we are there we are planning to play a bunch of shows in Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, England and Scotland. We are heading to California next week and will be playing eleven shows throughout the State starting in Sacramento, then heading to the San Francisco area, down the coast through Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara and in to the San Diego area and ending up in LA. Our brief journey South begins tonight in Franklin, Tennessee. Tomorrow we’ll be heading down to Birmingham and then over to Atlanta for the weekend. We’ll have lots of vinyl on hand and Mike has borrowed a new Frank Brothers guitar to play around with. We are busy filling in our tour itinerary for the rest of the year, so check in on the Tour Page and sign up for the Mailing List to find out if we are coming to a venue close to your front door. Next week we kick off 2019 with some tour dates in Portland, Seattle and Spokane. We also have a new video from All That Reckoning for the song When We Arrive. The video was created by our friend and collaborator Enrique Martinez Celaya. Enrique created the images that adorned The Nomad Series and also created The Nomad Series book, as well as XX, the book that celebrated our 20th anniversary. Enrique is a world renowned and celebrated painter and sculpture. In the video you can watch, in hyper-time, as Enrique creates a new painting. Watch as the cabin at the centre of the painting transorms from a dark, unpromising shelter under seige from outside forces, in to a beckoning, welcoming place of refuge. Enjoy!
Our on-line store now has a limited quantity of the newly released vinyl re-issues of The Caution Horses, Black Eyed Man and Pale Sun, Crescent Moon. These releases are all audiophile quality, remastered by us and Peter Moore. Each album is spread across two discs for optimum sound quality, pressed on 180gm vinyl, and in gatefold sleeves with enhanced artwork. We have also restocked the store with the audiophile vinyl re-release of The Trinity Session and the Trinity Revisited CD/DVD, as well as a few copies of The Kennedy Suite. You’ll also of course find vinyl and CD copies of All That Reckoning in there. So get shopping! The Holiday Season is upon us!
Our UK/European Tour starts tonight in Glasgow. We’re excited about getting back across the pond and hope to make a habit of getting back here more often. We’ll see a bunch of you over the next couple of weeks!
