Another twelve hour bus journey, another day off to recover and the end result is a kind of sloggy performance. Once again, a few good moments, but overall a little unfocused.
This town is the home of John Mellencamp (you know, the guy who does those truck commercials). It’s also the ex-home of Bobby Knight (you know, the maniac, chair throwing, b-ball coach with the red sweater). It is also the home of Indiana University (you know, Hoosiers). We were treated very well during our short visit. Last night we were invited to eat at a local brew pub (Upland Brewing Company) by the owner: excellent beer and very good food. Tonight we ate at another local restaurant (Michael’s something-or-other) another excellent meal. SSo it was a couple of good days of great food, but not such great music. It’s suppose to be the other way around.
