Today was a first for us. Our first matinee followed by an evening show. It kind of threw us off of our 20 year rhythm. To make the day even weirder, the hockey game (game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals) started at 11am. Before we knew it, Buffalo had taken game 1 (Go Sabres!) and it was showtime. Despite the weird time slot….the audience was primed and after a couple of songs it felt like a regular late night gig.

The second show went just as well. Despite our fatigue we played good thanks to another excellent audience. Seattle (which this town is kind of a suburb of) has always been good to us. This was the perfect venue and area to end this run of spring shows.

We head home tomorrow and continue to work on the new material and get serious about recording. We are going to try and stay off the road this summer (maybe a couple of one-offs) so that we can truly focus on the album and on our families. We’ll see you in a few months. Have a safe summer and keep safe.
