Jacksonville, OR (July 20, 2007)
Back to Tour Diary main page

Oregon is one of my favourite states in the union. Even for a short visit like this, it is an invigorating place to visit.

We are back at the Britt Festival in the historic gold mining town of Jacksonville. The festival runs all summer and is located on a spectacular piece of property that was once owned by the Britt family, one of the pillars of the mid nineteenth century Jacksonville community. Aside from the performance grounds there are trails cut through the property that take you past 150 year old sequoias and along river banks that were once lined with prospectors panning for gold.

We had a very fun night tonight: a really great audience.

We now begin the long journey home. Over the next five days we will play four shows and travel 3200 miles to get back to Toronto. First stop and 854 miles away is Park City, Utah.
