For us it all begins with a song: an acoustic guitar and a voice. But each song comes to each album with its’ own history, along its’ own strange path. Some are born and realized in a matter of minutes, others take years to finally find a place. Some pop out and are perfect little gems, others mutate and transform themselves, stealing and pillaging from the unformed.

And then there are the questions of why and where do these odd little creatures come from. Anatomy Of An Album, through words, pictures, lyric drafts and music, will take you down to the cellular level of each song off of the One Soul Now CD. Step inside and watch them grow.

The Details
This is a CDROM and was created as a companion piece to One Soul Now. On this disc we take you “behind the scenes” of the writing and recording of each song on the One Soul Now CD. For each song we have a created a chapter and in each chapter you will find; photos; copies of various hand-written lyric drafts that show the progress of the song from basic idea to completion; written commentary about the inspiration for the song and about the path taken by the song to get from the writers imagination to the final version as heard on One Soul Now; and, most importantly there is music.

We have included over ninety minutes of music: Michael Timmins songwriting recordings, band rehearsal demos, studio bed track recordings and alternate takes.
